What similarities are seen in Rose and Black? What differences?

Lewis Black addressed the issues from a comedic perspective but in many ways were similar to the views of Mike Rose. Black first addressed the issues of 1 week spent addressing education needs by the media/News and the rest of the the weeks 51 addressing incarceration. which in my opinion states the seriousness of the way the education systems teaches or does not teach particular students.
Mike rose stated in #2 to stop the accountability train long enough to define what we mean by achievement.

Lewis Black addressed the fact that $578,000,000 was spent on the school building rather than spent on the education of students.
Mike rose covered this in detail with his statement in #10 To make fewer economists in Education.because the field of economics itself according to the Economist, is experiencing an identity crisis.

Mr Black stated that while the idea of charter schools is a great principle that the process by which children  are able to participate is cruel, because they have to sit in an open area and wait to see if they are lucky enough to have their number called.
Mr Rose in # 3 stated to stop looking for the structural or technological magic bullet- whether it's charter schools or value added analysis- that will improve education

Lewis Black spoke about tony danza and the reality program that he is teaching 10th grade English, and by his own admission he is ill equipped and incapable of teaching.
Mike Rose addresses this by stating in # 6 that we should ensure that people who actually know a lot about schools  will appear on Oprah and will be consulted by politicians and policy makers.

While Lewis Black eluded to the confidence of today's youth the scenario he used was a young person trying to jump to a roof on a bike ramp. Clearly an ignorant move which had nothing to do with confidence and just compounded the thought that our educational system is poorly addressing the educating of our students.
Mike Rose concluded with a clearer understanding of the need by saying in #14 That he would end by repeating his initial resolution; that through whatever combination of factors- from policy initiatives to individual effort- more young people get an engaging and challenging education in 2011.

In terms of differences Mike rose did address several issues that Lewis Black did not. but overall they were very similar in my opinion.
