I had to step back and get some perspective , all that came to me first thoghts of High school were Drugs, parties, hanging out at dodes and fighting in the hallways. A Lot of racial unrest. Personal memories that realy defined the high school experience for me. I didnt graduate from high school I am sure you can imagine why.
In the terms of what it should have been, well, that is easier to address. High school should have been the foundation to set me up for the college experience and social inviroment that would be excepting and unconditional in it's view of individuals. But instead it was a war zone filled with racist teachers and angry students.
It should have been for the building a of the creative mind that could add to the complexity of our society with a plethra of diversity. Encouraging equal values in al ethnicities. i should have been the place where social justice was taugh and emulated. The place that all ethnicities were appreciated and valued in a way that would promote healthy relationships within the diverse groups of people.
It should have been a place that promoted unity and togetherness, and the idea that we all are valuable and have a resourcefulness to offer.
Now what it is actually for, well i believe it is for producing what society would deem the elite and usefull to be equipped to run the world and the less fortunate to serve those that lead.
