Around Christmas time Mr Escalante was with his family and his wife was fussing because his son had questions and she felt he spread himself so thin. that he was not giving proper attention to his son.He was also teaching a night class teaching students English. He really put too much pressure on his self and had a stroke. He did survive and returned to His class.
The students were accused of cheating on their tests so in spite of the fact that they all passed they had to retake the exams. Mr Escalante sacrificed his summer to make sure they were prepared as well as their weekends.
Mendosa once again demonstrated her lack of confidence in the abilities of the students. by not standing up for thgem when they were accused and stating that they must be guilty because they had to much pressure on them by Mr Escalante to succeed.
They did succeed the task and passed the test in spite of the challenges. Because of the excellent teaching style of Mr Escalante, The presidence was set for the expectation of excellence, in spite of the students back ground.
Every year after the results increased for those that graduated and passed the test.
